Paxton is a very active little guy. He has two younger sisters that he loves to hug and help out with. He loves going to the park, going down slides, and swinging. He also loves basketball and is very good at it for his age! Paxton has recently started school and he loves it and enjoys playing with the other kids. He is very smart, loves the ABCs and can spell a few words including his own name, mommy, daddy, Brielle and Lacey (his sisters).
Paxton did not babble until he was 18 months old. He attended traditional therapy until he was 2½ years old. At that time, he started PROMPT therapy and was diagnosed with Apraxia of speech. Since starting PROMPT therapy, his vocabulary has increased from 4 to approximately 100 words! He still has a long way to go but he continues to make great progress. Paxton also has sensory issues and has been diagnosed with Sensory Processing Disorder so he also receives weekly Occupation Therapy for sensory, fine motor and motor planning issues.
