One and a half year old Bayleigh loves to learn new things everyday, especially new signs that help her to communicate.  She loves to play with her baby doll and she knows how to operate an iPad or any smart phone.

Bayleigh has been profoundly deaf since birth.  Her parents are both profoundly deaf and have both gotten cochlear implants.  They use sign language in the home but would like for Bayleigh to learn to listen and talk with her implants so she has been attending Ohio Valley Voices (OVV). OVV provides intensive speech and language therapy every day and teaches the children so that they will eventually mainstream into their neighborhood schools with their hearing peers.

Bayleigh has already started to develop a lot of spoken vocabulary as well as sign language.  Her parents have been applying for grants for the 2017-18 school year and they need our help to make sure she continues to progress in her world of both spoken language as well as sign language.
