Eleven year old Seth was diagnosed with speech and language delays at age 2 and sensory processing disorder at age 3.  At the age of 6 he received additional diagnoses of anxiety, ADHD and Disruptive Behavior Disorder.  It is difficult for Seth to participate in sports and other physical activities because of his sensory needs.  He has extreme anxiety when trying something new.

Seth is cared for by his grandmother.  He is a sweet boy who loves to please others.  He has an infectious smile that lights up a room.  He loves to swim and was so proud of himself last summer when he learned to do handstands in the water.  Seth also loves video games and especially Minecraft.

Seth needs help socializing and experiencing sensory things without anxiety.  He struggles on a daily basis in trying to navigate the world in general.  There is a summer therapy camp, Camp Odakota, to give him extra occupational therapy and allows him to participate in “camp life activities.”  This camp would give him skills and confidence to help him be more at ease in the world around him.
