The Crescenta Valley Water District (CVWD), nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, is proud to support the 2024 Climb for Heroes event this Veterans Day Weekend. As a water district serving communities at elevations ranging from 1,200 to 3,000 feet above sea level, CVWD understands the significance of mountain terrain and community service. The District will join fellow climbers at Mt. Baldy on November 9th to support California's first Veteran Retreat Center.

 This Climb for Heroes hike aligns with CVWD's commitment to community engagement and environmental stewardship. Similar to the spirit of service CVWD has brought to the mountain communities of La Crescenta, Montrose, and Verdugo City since 1950, the new Veteran Retreat Center will serve injured veterans in a serene mountain setting at Icehouse Canyon.

 CVWD encourages our community of 33,000 residents to join us in this family-friendly event. Together, we can support our veterans while experiencing the inspiring mountain landscape that has shaped our district's history for over 70 years.
