Patrick Stokes

Teacher/Coach - Walter M. Williams High School            

Patrick Stokes is a 2000 graduate of Williams High School where he helped lead the 1999 squad to the State Championship. During high school he also served as captain of the baseball team and graduated in the top 10%. After graduation, Coach Stokes attended Elon University where he played 4 years for the Phoenix football team and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in history education.  Upon graduation, Coach Stokes began working at Eastern Alamance High School where he served as JV Head Coach and Defensive Coordinator. While at Eastern Alamance, JV and Varsity teams led by Coach Stokes won 24 conference championships and the Varsity teams boasted a 16 year playoff appearance record while competing in two 3A state championship games and five 3A east regional semifinal games. Coach Stokes has produced a multitude of Shrine Bowl and East/West All-Stars and has helped more than 50 players earn collegiate playing opportunities. His teams also boasted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher 17 times during his tenure.  Coach Stokes and his wife Emily have two children, Jackson (22) and Elizabeth (16). Coach Stokes is also a member of the United Methodist Church and serves as the Coordinator of the Williams High School International Baccalaureate Program. He enters his 22nd year coaching and teaching.
