Come Saturday morning, Caroline (10 years old), Teddy (12), and Dan and I (only slightly older) will don hats and sunscreen and clamber into kayaks to raise funds for the conservation of the Long Island Sound. Soundwaters is our favorite local organization — the good folks here believe in marine stewardship through education, running year-round programs and workshops for adults and children. They teach over 32,000 students about the Sound every year.

Support thriving waterways, marine life, and the fact that we’ll pop as much Dramamine as required to paddle four miles along the Connecticut shoreline. All donations will result in deep gratitude and the sharing of pictures of our heroics.
