Thanks for visiting my Flotilla donor page!
Once again, I'm going to be paddling on the beautiful waters of Long Island Sound to help protect it for years to come. As you probably know, we can all do our part to protect our environment, but by paddling in the Flotilla, I am helping SoundWaters do a whole lot more: They teach over 32,000 students about the Sound and how to protect it every year. The kids they teach today will be the stewards of the Sound tomorrow, and we absolutely need as many of those as possible!
Over the last three summers, with your help, and in memory of my father, who loved and understood the impact of sailing and marine science on young children, I raised over $9,000 in Flotilla donations and established and maintained a Young Mariners Scholarship Fund. SoundWaters has used this money to do many things, including purchase new Opti sailboats for their Middle School Young Mariners program (learn more here: https://soundwaters.org/
Now more than ever, we need to act to engage everyone on how to protect our environment, and I'm still focusing on doing this for Long Island Sound, since I've been lucky enough to have it as my backyard for 32 years and counting. I hope you can make a donation to support my efforts.
Thanks so very much for your consideration--we all sincerely appreciate it!
