This picture of my brother, sister and me circa 1957 was taken at low tide. Notice the high sea grass on the left and the old style boat requiring a three foot water level when Scott Cove had deep channels and elevated grass all which averaged out to the same depth as we have today.

I treasure my experience as a youngster growing up in Salem Straits chasing after little one armed sand crabs scurrying into their holes or curiously looking at horseshoe crabs bumping up against my legs.
