Music and Health have been my focus for my entire life - starting with my Mom intentionally playing classical music when she was pregnant with me. Growing up in a musical household, I played piano, trumpet, and sang and continue with piano and singing to this very day. Music is essential to our identity as a species and provides entertainment, enjoyment, and healing. HAAM exists to make sure that this essential element to all of our lives continues here in Austin with our supporting working musicians to have access to affordable healthcare and wellness and prevention services. Where we would be without music and the musicians that make it happen? 

 

This year marks 20 years of HAAM Day—Austin’s biggest day of giving for local musicians. Every dollar raised through my page helps Health Alliance for Austin Musicians (HAAM) provide access to lifesaving healthcare for over 3,200 working musicians. Rising healthcare costs make it harder than ever for Austin’s artists to stay healthy and keep making the music we all love. By supporting my fundraiser, you’re ensuring our musicians can see a doctor, get dental care, access mental health services, and cover basic needs. Together, we can keep Austin’s music alive and well.
