Give the gift of camp this summer to a kid who has a parent in prison!
Children who have a parent in prison often carry stories marked by shame, loneliness, and questions no child should have to ask.
This summer, you can give them a week of camp that brings connection, hope, and the chance to be a kid. Camp ARK is designed to be a refuge for kids who have an incarcerated parent, providing a place where they can connect with kids going through the same thing and experience the love of Christ from caring counselors and staff.
It costs $583 for a child to attend Camp ARK.
Thanks to the support of people like you, Camp ARK is FREE for all campers. This year, we have 77 total campers attending three summer camps—a teen camp, boys camp, and girls camp.
What is Camp ARK like?
Hosted at a camp center in Colorado, kids will spend a whole week in nature doing various activities they don't usually get to do - kayaking, archery, ziplining, rock climbing, and more! These activities allow kids to have fun and experience the outdoors with other kids their own age.
Campers will experience:
- Kayaking on the lake and ziplining through the trees
- Campfires and s'mores
- Group worship and Bible teaching
- Honest conversations about hard questions
- Being surrounded by kids and leaders who understand what they are going through
Every day, there are times of teaching, worship, and honest conversations centered around the Word of God and the love of Jesus. Campers are given space to ask the hard questions that come with having a parent in prison and to experience connection, hope, and the possibility of a future free from the cycle of incarceration.
