"No One Left Behind is a remarkable nonprofit organization that works tirelessly to support and assist our nation's bravest interpreters and allies who have served alongside our military forces in conflict zones. I was first introduced to No One Left Behind while enrolled at Hamilton College. While there, our lacrosse team, led by our Coach Scott Barnard, was privileged to fundraise for, and break bread with, interpreters who No One Left Behind was helping to resettle and integrate in the United States.
I am incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to once again raise awareness and support for a cause that merits more attention than I can offer on my own. This opportunity is so much more than a personal challenge; it is a chance to give back to those who have given us so much. With the help of my Hamilton College classmates, I hope to do this and more.
The United States made a commitment to these brave men and women to protect them against harm resulting from our own involvement on their shores. Through my participation in the New York City Marathon, I commit to run to raise awareness for the brave men and women who continuously risk their lives to help protect the United States and its interests abroad. I hope to shed light on the incredible resilience and strength of these interpreters and allies. And I aim to aspire others to recognize their contributions and to encourage support for their resettlement and integration.
Only together can we ensure that no one is left behind."
