I was deeply moved by the way St. Anthony Family Shelter and Harbor House Domestic Violence Shelter protect, understand and advocate for women and families during some of their most difficult days. I am honored to live out my favorite Bible verse, Matthew 25:40: “Whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.” For me, showing up for others is personal. I believe in being there for someone, just as someone once showed up for me when I needed help.
I have a longtime commitment to supporting women and children. I mentor mothers and expectant mothers through Hope Women’s Center, am a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters and help prepare and serve meals at New Hope Shelter. I am also a longtime supporter of Catholic schools, volunteering my time to build playgrounds, write grants, serve on school councils and PTOs, organize fundraising events, substitute teach and drive for field trips.
Before becoming my family’s full-time director of development and advancement, I worked in marketing and public relations for our family-owned business, The Grasshopper Company.
My husband, Trent, and I have three sons, and we are members of Church of the Magdalen, where I serve as a lector. When I’m not volunteering or cheering on my boys in their sports, I enjoy going to the gym, traveling and exploring outdoors with my family, playing and watching sports, attending concerts and finding great food.
