Permission to Start Dreaming

Event Name

10 Miler & 5K

Event Date

September 16, 2018

Gig Harbor, Washington

Race For A Soldier is more than a run through the scenic Pacific Northwest. This race is run for hope, for support and a better future for the men and women who have served our country. Race For A Soldier was started in Gig Harbor, WA in the fall of 2011, and wildly exceeded expectations, drawing an average of 1,500 runners in each of the first six years.

When you support this race - whether you run, walk, volunteer, donate, or simply cheer - you are making a difference in the lives our brave soldiers and their families. The race is on and we can win it together.

The Permission To Start Dreaming Foundation's mission is to inspire hope and action in the community and provide access to solutions for veterans, affected by Post Traumatic Stress and Traumatic Brain Injury, and their families via professional services, challenging peer adventures, education and spiritual devotion.

2018 represents a brand-new day as Race For A Soldier. We have made the change to a 10-Miler to go along with a our ever popular 5k Run.  Register now to race, or volunteer to be a part of this memorable event for an inspiring cause.  We look forward to seeing you on Sunday, September 16, 2018! Together we continue to give our Soldiers Permission To Start Dreaming!
