Wii Bowling Fundraiser at Hogan Lovells

Press Release
Hogan Lovells Hosts Fundraiser to Benefit Wounded Warrior Project

WASHINGTON, D.C. 14 August 2013 – Hogan Lovells announced today that its third annual Wii Bowling Championship, which took place on 8 August, raised more than US$40,000 for Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP) to assist service members who have been injured in the line of duty. To raise these funds, participants solicited donations from friends, family, and colleagues. Hogan Lovells’ charitable giving program, TOUCH, then matched the total donations received.

TOUCH is Hogan Lovells’ firmwide matched-giving program through which it supports a local nonprofit in each of the countries where it works, as well as an international nonprofit on a global level. TOUCH is intended as a participatory workplace giving program where employees can come together as a community to engage in fundraising activities to support these charities. Every two years, Hogan Lovells’ Washington, D.C. office asks personnel to suggest candidates for a new local TOUCH charity. In June, Wounded Warrior Project™ was selected by an online vote.
