2650 mile Walk from Keystone Heights, FL to Coeur d'Alene, ID

It’s important for me to support those who sacrificed so much for our freedom. By fundraising for Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP), I’m helping wounded warriors thrive in life back at home, post-injury.

We’re helping injured servicemen and women living with traumatic brain injury (TBI), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and physical injuries get the vital support they need – when they need it most.

And warriors never pay a penny for WWP programs – because they paid their dues on the battlefield. With our help, WWP services in mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care change lives.

Thank you for supporting me with a tax-deductible donation and more importantly, supporting critical, life-saving programs for wounded warriors and their families.

What I will be doing for this event:

My service dog Pam and I will be going on a walk.  Our walk will span approx. 2650+ miles and take about 5 months.  We will be leaving out from a small town in Florida called Keystone Heights, located between Gainesville and Jacksonville, and traveling back-country roads all the way to Coeur d'Alene, ID.  We are beginning our walk on Feb 1, 2019 and, with God on our side, will be arriving in Coeur d'Alene, ID, just in time for the 4th of July parade and, hopefully, be allowed to walk in the parade holding the American flag and the Wounded Warrior Flag held proudly, with my life changing service dog, Pam by my side.

Please, Won’t you help support the Wounded Warrior Project by donating through my walk campaign and showing them that you care and are proud of them for the sacrifice they gave for our Country.

UPDATE:  As of April 6th 2019, Pam and I have reached Kansas City, Kansas. We are taking the day off tomorrow and hitting the road again on April 8th.

Update: on June 27th around 11:30 a.m. Pacific time, I came down the exit ramp of exit 15 interstate 90 in Coeur d'Alene Idaho. I was greeted by my son who is a kootenai county deputy sheriff and also a plethora of other police agencies local, county, and State. They gave me a police escort approximately 1 1/2 miles to Cherry Hill Park where I was greeted by the rest of my family.  My daughter, son-in-law, my three grandchildren on their side and my son's wife -  daughter-in-law and my three grandchildren on their side plus a huge crowd including the media. At that point in time my cross-country journey officially ended. And it was fitting that on the same day, June 27th, was the official recognition day for PTSD.
