Hank's Dog

Eleven-year-old Hank enjoys music, the outdoors, sports and just hanging out with others.

Hank has been diagnosed with multiple disabilities including developmental disability, anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorder.  His most recently added diagnosis is Kleine-Levin Syndrome (KLS),  a rare and complex disorder characterized by recurring periods of excessive amounts of sleep, altered behavior, and a reduced understanding of the world.

Hank would like to gain some independence but at this time, dealing with his anxiety attacks and making safe decisions are very hard for him.

Hank’s family and doctors feel that getting him a service dog would help with giving him some independence and allow for his mom to breathe a little easier as the dog helps with anxiety, safety and several of Hank’s other struggles.
