Three-year-old Alyssa is a bright, loveable little girl who enjoys watching Bubble Guppies, Paw Patrol, and spending time with her family. She loves to play with anything she can get a hold of, and always has a fun-loving personality.
At the age of two and a half, Alyssa's family noticed she was not responding when they tried talking to her. She was seen by an audiologist, who discovered she has mild hearing loss. Additionally, she was tested for developmental delays which showed Alyssa has autism, global developmental delay, and a sensory processing disorder. This has prompted the family to begin speech and occupational therapies with Alyssa.
Recently, Alyssa has been seeing physical therapy also for a delay in gross motor skills, which is resulting in poor muscle tone. Therefore, Alyssa needs orthotic devices to help strengthen her legs, muscles, and ankles. Orthotic devices will allow Alyssa to walk, run, and jump as she explores the world around her.
Her family began multiple therapies to help Alyssa and she has now been able to start speaking in sentences. To continue Alyssa's progress in various therapies and gain access to the orthotic devices she needs, assistance is needed.
