Since the beginning of time, music has been part of our lives as humans and as part of our society.The first instrument found was a flute made from a vulture bone - nearly 40,000 years ago. We know how much joy music brings to our lives and how much the musicians that create and play this music means to all of us. 

HAAM exists to support the wonderfully creative musicians that make Austin iconic as place where live music is celebrated. We provide access to affordable healthcare services for Austin's low-income, working musicians, with a focus on wellness and prevention, but it is more than that. We are saving lives every day because many of our musicians would not have their health or their careers without the assurance of knowing that HAAM has their back in helping them with medical, dental, hearing, vision, and vocal services along with support for basic needs like food and prescription assistance.

HAAM is serving over 3,100 musicians to access over $190 million dollars in healthcare services - including basic healthcare, specialty care, mental health, dental care, hearing, vision, wellness, and basic needs. Through HAAM's partnerships every dollar you donate is leveraged into $7 worth of healthcare services - every gift makes a huge impact!

HAAM Day 2024, powered by PNC and SXSW, will be offering more than 250 FREE live music performances all over town. Austinites can expect to hear tunes bouncing off the walls of their local bank lobbies, grocery stores, parks, restaurants, shops and of course - live music venues. HAAM Day will also be featured with our media partners and on HAAM’s social media channels.
