NMHC 2012 Walk for Our Troops

We are pleased you will be joining us in January at the 2012 NMHC Annual Meeting in Boca Raton, FL.  Today, I am writing to ask for your participation in the NMHC Walk For Our Troops special 3K walk/5K run we are holding Thursday, January 19, 6:30 – 7:15 AM to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project™ (WWP), which assists service members injured in Afghanistan or Iraq.  I am honored Doug Bibby, President of NMHC, has asked me to chair this inaugural charity event.  As a former Marine, I am asking all NMHC members to make this event a priority.   Your support for our veterans is critical.

As you may know, WWP offers an array of programs and services designed to heal the wounded and provide veterans with tools for economic empowerment. Notably, these programs and services are free to veterans with service-connected wounds, injuries or illnesses sustained on or after September 11, 2001.  Your generous support will ensure every deserving veteran has access to this proven program.

To benefit our nation’s wounded warriors who have given so much, we request that you make a minimum contribution of $25 to the Wounded Warrior Project™ below.  Each contributor will receive a commemorative t-shirt.  While we hope for a beautiful Florida sunrise for the event, if you would prefer only to make a contribution, we would be most grateful.

We would also like your firm to consider sponsoring the walk/run through a contribution of $500 or more.  The sponsorship will be recognized by having your logo displayed on the commemorative race t-shirt.  (Sorry, logos can no longer be accepted for our commemorative tee shirt. If you would like to still make a sponsorship donation, you will receive recognition during the general sessions and on site signage.)  Please send your company logo as an eps file to NMHC’s David Covucci at dcovucci@nmhc.org.   For more sponsorship information, contact Julie Stalknecht, NMHC Vice President, at (202) 974-2363 or Larry Bellack of The Rainmaker Group at (561) 756-7430.

We hope you will consider joining us to support this worthy cause and look forward to seeing you in Boca Raton in January. In the meantime, we wish you a wonderful holiday season.

Sincerely,

Jeff Stack
