Aaron is a passionate community leader who believes deeply in the power of connection, compassion, and creating meaningful experiences for others. Originally from Illinois, he began his journey in recreation and parks after earning degrees in Sport Management and Health Promotion from Grand View University. That path ultimately led him to North Carolina, where he now serves as the Recreation and Parks Director for the City of Mebane.

Throughout his career, Aaron has been dedicated to building programs and spaces that bring people together, uplift spirits, and create lasting memories—values that closely align with the mission of Little Pink Houses of Hope. Whether through athletics, community events, or leadership development, he strives to make a positive impact in the lives of those around him.

Aaron’s professional journey includes leadership roles across multiple communities and active involvement with the North Carolina Recreation and Parks Association, where he has served on the Board of Directors and contributed to numerous initiatives that support growth, education, and innovation in the field. He is especially passionate about leadership and mentorship, often sharing his experiences to inspire others.

Outside of work, Aaron’s greatest joy comes from his family—his wife, four children, and their lively household full of animals. He loves staying active, whether it’s shooting hoops, playing golf, or simply spending quality time with loved ones.  Since his children have started high school, he’s found a passion for volunteering his time with the school’s sports teams, helping with statistics, announcing ball games, or just lending a helpful hand to the coaches and administrators in need.

Now, Aaron is excited to step onto the dance floor in support of Little Pink Houses of Hope— He is honored to be part of something that makes such a meaningful difference and is dancing to help create moments of joy for families who need it most.  There will be many opportunities to be apart of this mission, so please check in from time to time to get the latest information on how you can join in on the fun!
