Christine Ngeve is an educator, mentor, and advocate dedicated to empowering student-athletes beyond the game. She currently serves at North Carolina A&T State University as an Academic Advisor, Adjunct Professor, Life After Sport Coordinator, and Mental Performance Coach for Athletics. In these roles, Christine supports students in maximizing both their academic potential and personal growth while preparing them for life after competition.
A proud native of Mebane, North Carolina, Christine is a three-time collegiate athlete and graduate of Shaw University, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology. Her passion for holistic student development led her to pursue a Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University. She is currently completing her PsyD in Sport and Performance Psychology at the University of Arizona Global Campus, where her dissertation research focuses on life after sport preparedness among Black college student-athletes attending predominantly white institutions (PWIs).
Christine’s work is deeply personal and purpose-driven. As a former athlete, she understands the identity, pressure, and transition challenges that accompany competitive sports. Through her leadership and programming, she equips student-athletes with the mindset, confidence, and transferable skills necessary to thrive far beyond their final season.
Outside of her professional life, Christine is a proud mom to her energetic three-year-old son. She enjoys working out, roller skating, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is also a dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, committed to service, scholarship, and sisterhood.
Christine believes that sport is not just a game — it is a training ground for life. Her mission is to ensure that every student-athlete she serves is prepared not only for peak performance, but for purpose beyond the whistle.
