Thank you for visiting my team’s fundraising page in support of International Batten Disease Awareness Day 2024. We hope you will consider supporting us by donating or becoming a team member! 

We will be participating in a Virtual 5K Run and Walk on June 11th at 5:30pm at Levitt in the Park! Please join us if you are able!

The Weimer Lab studies the cellular functions of Batten-related genes to generate insights leading to novel treatment strategies. Through a combination of animal and cell model development, drug screening and development, and multi-omics biomarker investigations, we’ve developed multiple new therapeutic platforms for various forms of Batten disease.
