LOVE FOR LIAM

This is Liam. Liam is 10 and loves his big brother Max and his black lab Benny, cheeseburgers, Frosty the Snowman, swimming, rides on the train, the school bus and his golf cart.

Liam had his first seizure in the summer of 2017. After months of doctor visits, tests, and unanswered questions our family received the heartbreaking and life-changing diagnosis of Batten Disease (CLN2).

Batten Disease (CLN2) is a progressive neurological disease that appears between the ages of 3-4 after a typically healthy childhood. It starts with seizures, loss of fine and gross motor skills, loss of speech, loss of vision...it takes children's lives and their futures.

Awareness leads to support.

Support can lead to fundraising.

Fundraising can lead to initiating medical research.

Research could lead to a treatment.

Treatment leads to initiating trials.

Trials lead to giving children access to treatments.

Treatments could lead to finding the cure.
